Kent King, co-owner of Massive State Digital, brings over 20 years of diverse experience in the entertainment industry. As a producer, Kent supports client relations, seeks out strategic partnerships, and manages business development.

Prior to Massive State Digital, Kent has worked steadily as a TV and film actress. She entered the business at the young age of twelve as a regular on the CBS primetime series “Knots Landing.”  After completing five seasons, she guest starred on numerous sitcoms including “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air,” “The Wayans Bros,” and “The Jamie Foxx Show.”  Kent then joined the cast of ABC’s “Port Charles,” followed by five seasons as Dr. Lainey Winters on ABC’s “General Hospital” and primetime spinoff“GH:Nightshift” for SOAPNET. Most recently, Kent could be seen in the feature film “Aftermath,” an indie crime thriller distributed by Freestyle Releasing.

While working in front of the camera, Kent’s love for storytelling and interest in production drove her to cultivate a presence behind it.  She earned her BA in Film& Television Production from the University of Southern California, during which time she produced, wrote and directed several short films including “Manolia’s Funeral,” winner of the Black American Cinema Society Award. Kent spent many years working in various aspects of production from casting associate on numerous commercials and music videos for clients including Nissan, Coors Light, Pink and Jennifer Lopez, to assisting the executive producer of a Los Angeles based production company that guides projects from pre to post. Throughout her career in front of and behind the camera, she’s developed strong relationships with many top talent including directors, producers, executives and artists. 

Along with partner Christian Cardona, Kent produced several projects that have been featured on websites including,,, and Film School Rejects as well as in HD Video Pro magazine. Together they founded sister company Massive State Studios, a full service production company created to develop and produce content for all media.
